Background

Theodore Salaveria’s first love was music. From an early age, his parents always encouraged him to pursue his interests. This freedom sparked his interest in rhythm, and he began drumming on pots, tables, and any other surface he could find. They saw Theo's potential and signed him up for drumming classes. He immediately jumped right in, spending hours practicing and imitating the beats he heard in songs.

As he grew older, he created a distinct sense of style by mixing band shirts, vintage clothing, and bold accessories. He was approached by local designers to serve as a model for their collections in photo sessions and small events. For Theo, modeling came as a surprise, but he enjoyed it and saw it as a natural development of his artistic personality.

By the time he reached his 20s, Theodore decided he wanted to be independent. He worked part-time at Nijiro’s bar while he studied Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Merchandising at Benilde. At the same time, he has modeled for magazines that highlight his androgynous looks and participated in fashion shows for edgy, avant-garde designers.

Theo's passion for music lingers amid his decision to pursue a career in fashion design. He continued to work as a freelance model, but his biggest ambition was to join a band. He's now the drummer of From Zero, an indie band formed by his dear friend Nijiro.

From Zero

 Nijiro “Jiro” Kyro Alcaraz  Often referring to him as 'boss,' Theodore was in college and looking for extra income when he met Jiro while searching for a part-time job. They shared the same goal of making a name for themselves and forming a band, which solidified their bond and earned Jiro Theo’s respect. So when Jiro suggested starting a band, Theo immediately agreed.

 Akiyo “Akio” Jade Tan  When Jiro introduced Akio to him, he was immediately met with Akio’s bright energy and infectious smile—something he surprisingly didn’t mind. He thought making new friends would be hard, but Akio made it easy to connect with someone his age.

 Joaquin “Wako” River  From what Theo knew, Wako was Akio’s childhood friend. He was intrigued by their strong bond despite being polar opposites. At first, Theo thought Wako would be hard to approach due to his quiet nature, but they instantly became friends upon meeting.

 Elliot “Echo” Chase Alcantara  Echo, Jiro’s college friend, was the last band member Theo met. Milo’s bright, bubbly nature—similar to Akio’s—helped Theo quickly grasp the group’s dynamic. He admires Milo’s independence and energy, despite his busy life.

Family & Friends

 Westley Kyte Valencia  Ever since their high school years, Theodore and Westley have been joined at the hip. Having the same classes and helping each other out on group projects, they were practically a two-in-one combo. Although quite opposite in personality, they were also quite alike. With his love for drums and clothes, Wes also has his own share of passion for photography. So when he learned about his best friend winning the Regional Schools Press Conference with him as his subject during their school’s yearly event, Battle of the Bands. Theo was beyond proud of his best friend (and dare he say, flattered).Wes was the one who encouraged him to pursue modeling when his parents doubted him, pursuing his newfound talent and love for clothes the moment he applied for a scholarship at Benilde and got accepted. Though they were separated throughout their college years, they always managed to make time for each other. For years, he’d only thought of him as a friend until one day, he didn’t. He thought of him as more. And sure enough, Theo was going to do something about it.
